Frequently asked questions
What's bouldering?
Bouldering is rock climbing without the need for equipment like ropes and harness - but with safety mats (also known as crash pads) for you to drop off safely any time. Your aim is to finish short, but often trying problems (a route or order of moves) using strength, balance, technique, and brain power.
What do I need to know if I’m doing it for the first time?

If it’s your first visit, we need your help to fill in a waiver form. You can do it online before coming down, to save yourself some hassle! -
Come in comfortable, athletic clothing that allows you a wide range of movement. -
Shoes are available for rent on site for $5. Please do bring along your own pair of socks! You can otherwise buy a pair at $2. -
Last but not least, don’t be shy to tell our team at the front desk that it's your first time - they'd be delighted to show you around!
What facilities does your gym have?

Clean and comfy shower facilities (with hot water!) -
Lounging area for when you want to take a break -
Shelves to keep your personal belongings. Please try not to store any valuables there however. -
Bonus: if you’re driving, Aperia Mall offers free parking from 6.30pm-10pm on weekdays and for the first 3 hours on weekends. Yay! -

Can I bring kids?
Kids are naturally interested in climbing, and it’s a great way for them explore their problem solving skills. However, for their safety, we do enforce a minimum age policy where only children 5 and up are allowed on the walls. For children under 12, we do ask your cooperation to keep an eye on them please :)
Do I need to make an appointment?
Nope. Unplanned moments are the best kind. Peak hours are typically on weekends (all-day), lunch time and after 6pm on weekdays, if you’d like to try and work around those.
What courses are available?
We've just launched the first of our courses, intro to bouldering! Perfect for those looking to lay a firm foundation before scaling greater heights, and available to both adults and kids.
